Dodik offered Ljubija mine to the Chinese

The President of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated yesterday in Smederevo that he will travel to China in the next few months, which will be an opportunity to define all segments of the agreements reached in Belgrade with representatives of Chinese companies that will participate in some infrastructure projects in RS, reports Patria. 

He said that a protocol with a Chinese company was signed in Belgrade on Saturday for the construction of the new TE Gacko.

- We also talked with other Chinese partners – their Development Bank about the construction of the highway that RS needs to connect with Serbia, i.e., the section from the border towards Bijeljina and Brčko and the highway from Banja Luka to Prijedor, which are things that are in the finalization of the agreement - said Dodik.

He confirmed that during the meeting with some members of the large Chinese delegation, there was talk about the financial participation of their banks and other business systems in the Republika Srpska market.

Speaking about the relaunch of the Smederevo "Ironworks", which he visited yesterday together with the highest officials of China and Serbia, Dodik told reporters that putting this capacity "on healthy legs" is of great importance for Republika Srpska as well.

- Republika Srpska has certain iron ores that we traditionally supply here, primarily Ljubija, and is very interested in this ironworks operating - said Dodik, reports NAP.
