(Patria) - If anyone forces us and pushes us into a corner, or tries to build law on injustice, we have an obligation to defend ourselves.
This was stated today in Moscow by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, commenting on the hearing scheduled for 12 June at the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where appeals in the case against him and Miloš Lukić will be considered.
- Here we can note several facts - it is the same court as in the first-instance proceedings. They boast about the system of selecting judges, yet it is impossible for their procedure to follow the selection of Bosniaks.
Most importantly, Republika Srpska has rejected the existence of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Dodik.
He emphasises that the entire process is "a par excellence proof of political persecution and that it is being persisted with".
- There was also the influence of the previous US ambassador. We should also say that regardless of the fact that Republika Srpska has rejected the operation of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office, they continue to do something, this will only lead to everything being cleared up.
I have no expectations, we can speculate, if the Court confirms what happened, we enter a dramatic political situation. We will go to the institutions of Republika Srpska and make decisions they will not like - claims Dodik.
He adds that "if anyone forces the leadership of Republika Srpska and pushes it into a corner and tries to build law on injustice, Republika Srpska has the right to defend itself".
