(Patria) - The first witness of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case against Ejup Ganić and nine others accused of crimes against JNA soldiers in Dobrovoljačka Street on May 3, 1992, is expected to testify before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
Thus, a witness whose surname the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is not certain of will testify before the Court of BiH today.
The indictment states that the witness's surname is either this or that!? This is actually yet another piece of evidence that the Court of BiH could not accept the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, i.e., that Judge Braco Stupar obviously did not even read the indictment!?
Let us recall, the Court of BiH confirmed on May 12 the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, which charges them with attacking a column of former JNA soldiers, which was under UN escort, in Sarajevo on May 3, 1992.
Despite the stance of the Hague Tribunal that the JNA column in Dobrovoljačka was a legitimate military target, the Prosecutor's Office continued the investigation regardless of earlier cases against Ganić and Jovan Divjak, which were dismissed.
At the beginning of the main trial, prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH Mladen Vukojičić said he would prove that the accused committed a war crime against JNA soldiers in Dobrovoljačka Street who were evacuating from the “Bistrik” barracks in Sarajevo under UNPROFOR escort, that a large number of soldiers were killed and wounded, and that those who were captured endured severe torture.
In addition to Ganić, the indictment also charges Zaim Backović, Hamid Bahta, Hasan Efendić, Fikret Muslimović, Jusuf Pušina, Bakir Alispahić, Enes Bezdrob, Ismet Dahić, and Mahir Žiško with attacking an undefended mixed column of soldiers and civilians employed in the former JNA, which was under the escort of UN peacekeeping forces, in Sarajevo on May 3, 1992.
Along with the indictment, the hearing of 277 witnesses and several experts was proposed, and more than 500 pieces of material evidence were submitted.
The indictment was written by the current chief prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, and a good part of the indictment is in the Ekavian dialect, indicating the adoption of parts from Serbian institutions.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH in this proceeding is proving that Alija Izetbegović was not a prisoner, and that the column was not a legitimate military target!
