"Dnevni list" claims Bakir must arrest someone, will there be new political trials?

Mostar-based newspaper "Dnevni list", close to certain circles in Sarajevo, states in today's issue that Bakir Izetbegović, the SDA president, must, after BPS agreed to join the coalition at the federal level, fulfill certain demands, which could result in new political trials, reports the Patria News Agency.

Author Mensur Osmović speculates, citing sources, that the new coalition, or rather the majority in the Federal Parliament with SDA, HDZ, Party of BiH, A-SDA, and BPS, is still under a big question mark, even though the leaders of these parties have signed an Agreement.

- The reason: BPS, whose president is Sefer Halilović, and which has four representatives in the Federal Parliament, is waiting for SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović to fulfill demands, and the deadline expires on the last day of this month - states Dnevni list.

It is also stated further that Bakir Izetbegović accepted BPS's demands, and their fulfillment means that all those suspected by BPS of murdering Sefer Halilović's wife and her brother in Sarajevo on July 7, 1993, must end up behind bars.

Halilović and his son Semir, a member of the BPS Presidency and a representative in the KS Assembly, suspected Bakir Alispahić, Enver Mujezinović, and Fikret Muslimović.

- Whoever is found to have been behind the crime against the Halilović family will have to be removed and will be held accountable. I have faith in the institutions of this country - said Izetbegović, adding that the assassination had burdened society "and us personally as people, and it should finally be resolved whether it was a planned political assassination".

However, the Halilovićs are not entirely sure that Izetbegović and the SDA leadership will keep their promise. According to Semir Halilović, Izetbegović has been given a 30-day deadline to fulfill his promise - to put the killers of his mother and her brother in prison. As he said, if the SDA and its leader do not do this, "we have finished all talks for all time".

- At the meeting, in front of everyone, Izetbegović swore that he had nothing to do with the murder of part of my family. Of course, I don't believe him because actions confirm words. He said in front of everyone that he would withdraw from all positions if it was determined that he had any connection to the crime against my family. Now we wait. A good portion of SDA representatives guaranteed us that they would switch to BPS if the SDA leadership deceives us - Semir Halilović revealed publicly last week, "Dnevni list" reports.

They claim they won't join the Government

Interestingly, yesterday, information was launched from circles close to the BPS leadership that Bakir Alispahić is founding a political party. According to that information, he intends to gather dissatisfied members of the SDA around him, and has allegedly already spoken with Salko Sokolović, Senad Šepić, Šemsudin Mehmedović, and some other well-known members of that party.

After the presidents of SDA, BPS, Party of BiH, and A-SDA signed the Agreement on political cooperation, joint action, and unified performance for the period 2015-2018 last week, Halilović said that his BPS would not enter the Government of the Federation or the Council of Ministers, "Dnevni list" states, among other things.
