(Patria) - Special representative of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev stated that he believes a major oil shortage is inevitable, TASS reported last night.
"For the first time in history, Saudi Arabia is charging a $20 per barrel premium over an already extremely high benchmark price for its oil. A catastrophic oil shortage is inevitable," Dmitriev wrote on social network X.
Dmitriev commented on reports that Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco raised the price of its main crude oil for May deliveries to Asia to a record level - $19.5 per barrel above the regional benchmark price.
