"Children in War" is a new exhibition by photographer Milomir Kovačević Strašni, which will be opened at the premises of the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 11 at 8 PM, reports the Patria agency.
Kovačević is one of the most significant photojournalists of Sarajevo in the nineties. In his documentation of wartime horrors, he strived to capture all aspects of it with his camera – life, resistance, and death, while simultaneously creating visual purity. In 1995, he moved to Paris and continued his photographic and exhibition activities there. He has received many awards, the latest being from the President of France, who declared him a Knight of Merit for his photographic work and engagement.
He will be the recipient of this year's Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo.
The exhibition "Children in War" will be on display until March 29, reports Patria.
