Children among 32 killed in new attacks in Gaza

(Patria) - At least 32 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded in Israeli attacks on homes and tents sheltering displaced people in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, medics said.

Health sources told Anadolu that seven Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes struck a family home in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

Four people were killed and more wounded in attacks on the Al-Saftawi neighborhood in northern Gaza, while one Palestinian died in an Israeli strike in the city center. Several people were wounded in a drone strike west of the city.

The Israeli military continued demolishing homes with mines in northern Gaza, including the Jabalia al-Nazla area and southern Gaza, as part of a broader operation launched on August 11 under the occupation plan.

In central Gaza, the Israeli military struck a tent housing displaced families, killing two civilians in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Another nine people were killed when Israeli forces shelled civilians waiting for aid in central and southern Gaza.

A mother and her young child died after the Israeli military hit a warehouse where displaced people were staying in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

The Israeli military also struck a house in the Bureij refugee camp, killing one Palestinian and wounding others, while many, including women and children, remain trapped under the rubble.

In southern Gaza, six Palestinians, including a couple and their three children, died in an Israeli strike on their tent in northwestern Khan Younis.

The Israeli military also shelled the area around the Asdaa prison in the same city, with no reports of casualties.

Israel has killed nearly 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over the war in the enclave.
