CIA Director: Iranian nuclear program seriously damaged in US attacks

(Patria) - CIA Director John Ratcliffe stated that the Iranian nuclear program has suffered serious damage in recent US strikes, and intelligence data indicates that remediation of the damage will take years, Reuters reported.

Ratcliffe released a statement pointing to a "set of credible intelligence data" showing significant destruction at key Iranian nuclear facilities.

"This includes new intelligence from a historically reliable and accurate source/method that several key Iranian nuclear facilities have been destroyed and will need to be rebuilt for years," Ratcliffe said.

The CIA director's assessment provides the first official US intelligence assessment of the impact of the attacks on Iran's nuclear capabilities.
