CIA Director: Possibility of Gaza Ceasefire Deal Still Exists

- I think there is still a possibility for such a deal. And as I mentioned, it will not be for lack of trying on our part, working closely with our Israeli, Qatari, and Egyptian counterparts.

This is a very difficult process. I don't think anyone can guarantee success. The only thing I think you can guarantee is that the alternatives are worse, Burns said during a House hearing.

Although negotiations to reach a ceasefire in the Israeli war against Gaza have looked promising in recent weeks, implementation has stalled in recent days. Hamas and Israel blame each other for inflexibility in this matter.
