Highway section from Vlakovo to Bradina: Temporary suspension of toll collection

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, the FBiH Government has given consent to JP Autoceste Federacije BiH d.o.o. Mostar for a temporary suspension of toll collection on the highway section from Vlakovo to Bradina in the period from 23.9. to 30.10.2022.

Autoceste FBiH is responsible for the implementation of this Decision.

As explained, at a meeting held on 19.9.2022 in the FBiH Government, attended by the Prime Minister of FBiH, the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications, the Director of JP Autoceste FBiH, the Executive Director of JP Ceste FBiH, and a representative of the contractor for the Tarčin - Ivan highway section, information was provided and presented on the need to close the M-17 main road on the Tarčin - Bradina section for all motor vehicles in transit, due to its rehabilitation after the construction of the Tarčin - Ivan highway section, with the note that this highway section to Bradina has been completed.

As this is a highly trafficked section of the main road, and continuous traffic cannot be ensured by diverting traffic to one lane, a temporary suspension of traffic on this part of the main road was necessary, and temporary diversion of transit traffic to the newly built Tarčin-Ivan highway section. At the same time, traffic on the main road would be ensured for the local population.

Therefore, one of the conclusions of the meeting was that, since there is no alternative solution for traffic flow without toll collection, it was necessary to make a decision on the temporary suspension of toll collection from Vlakovo to Bradina.
