Drug dealers handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office: Brothers Fuad and Nihad Numanović, arrested in 2009 as well, at the head of the group

After months of work on identifying perpetrators and documenting criminal acts, by order and under the supervision of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, members of the Federal Police Administration deprived 11 persons of liberty in the area of Sarajevo Canton, who are suspected of organizing a group for the commission of the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs. Of the 11 arrested, 8 were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office after criminal processing, where the acting prosecutor will determine further measures within 24 hours, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

This group, led by three brothers Fuad, Nihad and Nijaz Numanović, sold drugs in the area of Vogošća, where most of them were arrested, as well as in Sarajevo Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton. Also arrested were Ahmed Halilović, Haris Bašalić, Rahman Sulejmani, Adnan Balićevac and Adis Pašalić, who were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
 
- They are charged with, in the period from July to December 2016, after organizing a group, illegally selling the narcotic drugs amphetamine, ecstasy and marijuana in the area of Sarajevo Canton. Members of the Federal Police Administration conducted searches at several locations in the area of Sarajevo Canton. On that occasion, more than 20,000 KM, an as yet undetermined quantity of narcotic drugs, firearms, several mobile phones and SIM cards were found and seized - the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office announced.

Incidentally, Fuad and Nihad Numanović were also arrested in 2009 along with three other persons in an operation by the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, and 2.5 kilograms of drugs were found. Haris Bašalić was also arrested at that time. At Fuad Numanović's, the police found marijuana, money, 25 rounds of various calibers, while from his brother Nihad, three packets of marijuana, money, two mobile phones and a submachine gun were seized, writes Patria.
