SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Today, a regular session of the Party Presidency was held at the Secretariat of the Democratic Front, where an analysis of the Party's election results in the General Elections was discussed.
- In the next mandate period, the Democratic Front will have a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as three deputies in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, ten in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and sixteen deputies in the assemblies of eight cantons in the FBiH.
Also, the Presidency provided full support to the negotiating teams of the Democratic Front in the talks on forming the government in five cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the heads of the negotiating teams, Milan Dunović for Sarajevo Canton, Enes Srebrenica for Central Bosnia Canton, Zlatan Begić for Tuzla Canton, Alma Kratina for Zenica-Doboj Canton, and Edita Velić for Bosna-Podrinje Canton.
The Presidency of the Democratic Front is of the opinion that the negotiations with natural coalition partners, Our Party and the Social Democratic Party, as well as other parties, are moving in a good direction, and that all agreed coalitions will be exclusively programmatic in nature.
The Presidency of the Democratic Front reiterated its earlier position that if the 2013 census is used as a basis for the distribution of mandates in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, the Constitution of the FBiH will be violated, specifically its article which states: Constituent peoples and the group of Others shall be proportionally represented in public institutions in the Federation of BiH. As a constitutional principle, such proportional representation shall be based on the 1991 census until Annex 7 is fully implemented.
Today's session of the Central Election Commission, at which no decision was made on filling the House of Peoples of the FBiH, is further proof that the members of the Central Election Commission are under the political patronage of segregationist policies, which aim to deprive a significant portion of BiH citizens of their active right to vote - it was announced from the DF.
