Nineteen years after the murder of 65 Bosniaks and Croats, no one has been held accountable for the crime

The Association of Camp Detainees of the Sanski Most municipality, members of religious communities, and family members of the 65 murdered Bosniaks and Croats in the village of Sasine today marked the 19th anniversary of the brutal murder committed by local Serbs with the help of Arkan's men, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Numerous banners with messages such as "We have been waiting 19 years for truth and justice," "Prosecutor's Office, start the trial," "Sanski Most was a city of mass graves in 1995," were displayed today.

A memorial was erected for the victims in 2000. Family members then proceeded to the Poljak-Šehovci cemetery, where tribute was paid to the murdered Bosniaks.

We remind you that on the night of September 21-22, 1995, 65 Bosniaks and Croats, who were brought by bus from several camps, were brutally murdered. They were executed in front of the headlights of the bus that brought them to the execution site.

Only two people survived the shooting by sheer luck, and they later testified about these events. The mass grave in the village of Sasina was exhumed shortly after Sanski Most was liberated.
