Nine young people from Centar received financial support from the Municipality to start their own businesses

In the premises of the Centar Municipality, on Thursday, December 15, 2016, contracts were signed for financing the start of private businesses with unemployed young people from Centar. For this purpose, 100 thousand marks were allocated from the Municipality's budget.

Based on the Decision on stimulating youth employment from the budget of the Centar Municipality, which was unanimously adopted by the Municipal Council, a public call was issued for financing and co-financing the best business projects aimed at developing entrepreneurship and youth employment, and it lasted for 60 days.

Residents of the Centar municipality up to 35 years of age who are registered as unemployed with the Public Institution Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton are eligible for non-refundable funds from the budget of the Centar Municipality for starting and developing their own businesses, which can amount to up to 15,000 KM per business plan.

Young entrepreneurs who applied for financing and co-financing of the best business projects with funds from the budget of the Centar Sarajevo Municipality, and whose projects were supported by the Commission for the implementation of the procedure for awarding funds for stimulating youth employment of the Centar Sarajevo Municipality, signed employment incentive contracts with the municipal mayor Nedžad Ajnadžić, after which they will be paid the approved funds. 

Mayor Ajnadžić congratulated the entrepreneurs and said that the Centar Municipality will continue the practice of employing young people from the area of the Centar Municipality.

- I want to congratulate you on the good projects with which you will enter the real sector. I firmly believe that your businesses will be successful and that you will ensure self-sustainability. The Centar Municipality, as a responsible local community, will be pleased if you succeed in your business and if you employ someone else besides yourselves. In the budget for 2017, about 200,000 marks have been allocated for the employment of young people, and this is just one of the tools we will use to reduce the number of unemployed in this local community. We wish you good health and happiness in your business, and the doors of the Centar Municipality are always open to you - Ajnadžić added.

Denis Đulalić, a recipient of non-refundable funds for a business project of furniture production and restoration, expressed great gratitude to the Centar Municipality for the opportunity it offers to young people.

- The non-refundable funds I received from the Centar Municipality are a great support to me. For those of us who are just starting a business, these funds cover many costs and will certainly help us to go through certain stages of business development more easily and quickly - Đulalić added.
