(Patria) - The District Public Prosecutor's Office in East Sarajevo yesterday submitted to the District Court in East Sarajevo a motion for detention of Kosta Pandurević from Pale, who in front of a café in East Sarajevo shot at Adi Nukić from Sarajevo.
He is charged with attempted murder, and detention was requested due to the risk that, if at liberty, he might obstruct the investigation by influencing witnesses, and by hiding and destroying evidence.
There is also concern that, if at liberty, he might repeat the same criminal offense or commit another for which a prison sentence of three years or more could be imposed.
The Prosecutor's Office also disclosed details of the attempted murder, which occurred on Wednesday around 5 p.m. in front of the "Caffe Mocca" establishment in Hilandarska Street in East Sarajevo.
As stated in the Prosecutor's Office press release, Pandurević arrived at the scene on a KTM motorcycle, crosser type, without license plates, with orange details.
"He stopped, and then from a firearm, most likely a pistol, of unknown make, caliber nine millimeters, fired seven shots at N.A., who at that moment was in front of the 'Caffe Mocca' establishment.
On that occasion, the victim sustained life-threatening injuries, namely a gunshot wound to the abdomen and three through-and-through wounds to the left thigh area.
After that, he left on the aforementioned motorcycle in the direction of Spasovdanska Street, and then in an unknown direction," the Prosecutor's Office stated.
Let us recall, the East Sarajevo Police Department announced that the same night they arrested the suspect, and after criminal processing, he was handed over to the Prosecutor's Office.
