Derek Chollet arrives in BiH today, visit to BiH Presidency also planned

(Patria) - US State Department Counselor Derek Chollet will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina today, where he will meet with high-ranking state officials to discuss the current situation in BiH.

Chollet is one of the closest associates of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, to whom he is expected to convey the situation in BiH. He will meet with numerous officials to emphasize that functional and democratic institutions are necessary for the functioning of the state, as well as for the better lives of all citizens.

Chollet handles a wide range of issues and special diplomatic assignments at the State Department under the Secretary's direction, and has previously held positions in the State Department, the White House, and the US Department of Defense.

According to Patria's findings, Chollet arrives in Sarajevo after noon, and will be at the US Embassy after 4 PM.

Meetings are also planned at the US Ambassador's Residence.

Meetings are also planned at the BiH Presidency for tomorrow, as well as at the Embassy and Residence, and Chollet will depart BiH on November 17th.
