Democratic Congresswoman Joins Calls for Trump's Removal

(Patria) - Democratic Representative Madeleine Dean has joined calls for the removal of President Trump via the 25th Amendment to the Constitution. According to still unofficial information, such an idea was initiated by four high-ranking Republicans, and two more advocate for the idea that Trump should be impeached via a so-called expedited impeachment.

"I certainly hope that is possible," she said on CNN.

"... I think this president has proven himself to be unstable and unfit day after day, month after month, year after year."

"In these final days of this disgraceful presidency, I hope we will be able to invoke the 25th Amendment," she continued.

If not now, "when would you do it?" Dean asked.

American media report that the closest members of outgoing President Donald Trump's cabinet are allegedly considering invoking the 25th Amendment, which defines the "removal" of the US leader from office before the end of his term.

Former Republican Representative Charlie Dent expressed his dissatisfaction on Wednesday with the rioters who stormed the US Capitol building and President Trump's rhetoric that helped incite the unrest.

"He committed a mortal sin against the republic," Dent said. "He should have resigned for this, but he won't, of course."

In an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon, the former congressman from Pennsylvania conveyed his anger towards Trump's supporters who carried a Confederate flag inside the Capitol building, calling it a "desecration."
