Delić: Preliminary list of artisans and craftsmen whose projects will be co-financed by the Ministry of Economy of KS published

(Patria) - The new Law on Crafts and Related Activities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina came into force at the end of September last year, based on which the federal Decree on the Protection of Old and Traditional Crafts was adopted in April this year.

The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, with the aim of preserving old and traditional crafts in Sarajevo Canton, has implemented its public call for support for their preservation and promotion, and has prepared a cantonal Decree on awarding incentive funds for financing/co-financing projects in this area for this purpose.

"This Decree had to be harmonized with the valid legal regulations of a higher level, and therefore this year's public call for support for the preservation and promotion of old crafts is different from last year's. It was a bit more demanding compared to previous calls because funds can now be awarded exclusively on the basis of submitted projects for co-financing, which was not the case before," explained the Minister of Economy of KS Adnan Delić.

The program has allocated a total of BAM 500,000 for this purpose, and artisans and craftsmen can be co-financed in the range of BAM 3,000 to BAM 6,000 per individual project, depending on the group to which the submitted project belongs.

A total of 94 craftsmen and artisans have qualified for co-financing with funds in the total amount of slightly over BAM 360,000, which will be realized according to the preliminary list published on the website of the Ministry of Economy at this link.
