Delić: Almost one million KM paid for agricultural incentives for 2021

(Patria) - At the beginning of April, the KS Government, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, adopted the Decision on the amount of financial incentives, minimal conditions for starting production, minimal conditions for investment and deadlines for submitting applications for 2021, which provided for 6.1 million KM of budget funds for incentives in agricultural production, an increase of about 600,000 KM compared to the previous year.

"This Decision also covers the payment of applications that were not realized in the previous year due to administrative and technical difficulties, while according to another list with 180 approved applications for incentives, we paid 450,725.15 KM for several different types of production, including fattening of cattle, poultry, first quarter milk, greenhouse production, procurement of machinery, and others. It is important to note that this year, payments for outstanding decisions made in 2020 were also made in the amount of 513,345.85 KM," said the Minister of Economy Adnan Delić.

Minister Delić emphasized the importance of agricultural production in the Canton and reminded that the Ministry of Economy has strived to facilitate these producers through various activities, including the purchase of market surpluses of 147.7 tons of potatoes and onions, which were taken over from producers in April and distributed according to the Action Plan adopted by the KS Government, and the Decision allowing agricultural producers to use seeds and planting material from their own reproduction.

"With this Decision, we have enabled agricultural producers to use seed material from their own production, and accordingly, they no longer have to submit fiscal receipts as proof that they have purchased certified seeds and planting material, which is one of the conditions for exercising the right to incentives. We believe that this is another in a series of facilitations that will relieve producers and enable greater production of crops in our canton," stated Minister Delić, adding that the Ministry of Economy will continue to work on improving conditions for agricultural producers.

In this regard, he announced amendments and supplements to the Law and Rulebook on incentives in agricultural production, in order to improve them and adapt them to new production trends, as well as the situation on the ground.
