Delegates rejected urgent procedure for budget, it will go through shortened procedure at an urgent session

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The 10th session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly is being held in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, chaired by Nikola Špirić. 14 delegates are attending the session, five delegates from the Bosniak constituent people, four from the Croat constituent people, and five from the Serb constituent people, while Dragan Čović is justifiably absent due to coronavirus infection.

Denis Bećirović, delegate of the SDP BiH, stated that no one in BiH can know how the epidemiological situation will develop and proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure to enable online sessions, as the House of Representatives of the BiH PA has already done.

"I believe there is no reason why we should not do the same in the House of Peoples by obliging the expert services today to prepare short amendments to the Rules of Procedure for us, and for us to vote on the amendments today, or to prepare the amendments and adopt them at the next session. At this moment, there are justifiable and objective reasons to do so," said Bećirović.

Špirić stated that it is a good proposal and that the expert services should prepare amendments to the Rules of Procedure and adopt them at the next session.

Delegates voted not to consider the Bill on the Budget under an urgent procedure.

"We must agree that we will discuss the budget today, and that will be through a shortened procedure. We will conduct the discussion in a shortened procedure, which means we will have an urgent session after this session, and I ask the services to prepare the agenda," said Špirić.

The annual report of the Central Bank for 2019 has been sent for harmonization procedure because there was no entity majority.
