House of Peoples Delegates Strongly Condemn Attack on Vučić

The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) at its 7th session strongly condemned the attack on the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, which occurred on 11 July this year in Potočari near Srebrenica.

In the conclusions, adopted by the House of Peoples of the PABiH at the proposal of the Club of Delegates of the Serbian People, deep regret is expressed that the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia was placed in such a situation, and an apology is extended to Mr. Vučić, with the hope, as he himself stated, that everything that happened will not cause consequences for the relations between the two countries.

In the adopted conclusions, the House of Peoples of the PABiH requested all competent authorities in BiH to urgently identify the perpetrators of the attack and determine the responsibility of all persons in accordance with their jurisdictions.

The House of Peoples of the PABiH adopted, under urgent procedure, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Residence and Stay of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Previously, the House of Peoples of the PABiH, due to the lack of an entity majority, did not support the Proposal for a Conclusion by delegate Halid Genjac from the 36th session of the House of Peoples of the PABiH in the previous term, which reads: Due to the complexity and significance, as well as the necessity to clarify ambiguities in certain proposed provisions through amendments, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Residence and Stay of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina is returned for consideration under regular procedure.

The House supported the Report of the Joint Commission of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH on reaching agreement on the identical text of the Law on Customs Policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose proposer is the Council of Ministers of BiH. The said Report adopted three amendments relating to changes to Article 24, paragraph (4), Article 43, as well as Article 207, point a), indent 12 of the Law on Customs Policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Report on the Work of the State Regulatory Commission for Electricity in 2014 was also adopted.

The House of Peoples of the PABiH adopted the Annual Report on the Results of Activities of the Institution of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of BiH and the Annual Report on Instances of Discrimination in BiH, whose proposer is the Institution of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of BiH.
