NATO delegation on an official visit to members of the BiH Presidency

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Members of the BiH Presidency received Admiral James Foggo, Commander of NATO's Joint Force Command Naples, and General Sir James Everard, Deputy Commander of Allied Forces Europe.

At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the BiH Presidency informed the guests about the current situation in the country, with a special focus on the implementation of reforms. The commitment to make additional efforts to overcome obstacles and dynamize activities on necessary reforms was emphasized. Satisfaction was expressed with the progress made in the defense reform process, particularly regarding the adoption of the Defense Review document.

Topics of discussion, attended by EUFOR representatives, also included BiH's participation in peacekeeping missions worldwide, the need for better equipment for the Armed Forces of BiH to assist the civilian population, and assistance in demining and creating a stable and secure environment. The commitment and support of NATO and EUFOR to the reform path of Bosnia and Herzegovina were reiterated.

The members of the BiH Presidency thanked for the support received so far and expressed hope that the good cooperation will continue in the future.
