December is the month of indictments: BiH Prosecutor's Office announces high corruption cases

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The month of December is traditionally "busy" for the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Arrests are made, indictments are filed, new actions are announced, and quotas must be met.

Already in the first days of December, prosecutors from the BiH Prosecutor's Office had "their hands full", dealing with organized crime, war crimes, and corruption. Dozens of people have been arrested for various criminal offenses, mostly organized crime, drug trafficking, and war crimes. Three indictments were filed in the first ten days of December. One for war crimes, another for economic crime, and a third for migrant smuggling.

As announced yesterday by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, several indictments in the area of high corruption are expected in the coming period. The main criticism from international partners is the insufficient fight against corruption and the failure to prosecute high-level corruption offenses.

By the end of December, according to Patria's findings, numerous arrests are expected, as well as several indictments against multiple individuals.
