Davor Dragičević: Demand for resignations and arrests

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Davor Dragičević, father of the murdered young man David Dragičević, today announced a demand for the resignations of the top officials of the MUP RS, Police RS, and prosecutors, setting a deadline of December 30 at 6 PM when a large rally of Justice for David is scheduled at Krajina Square.

He demanded resignations from Dragan Lukač (Minister of Internal Affairs of RS), Darko Ilić (Head of the Organized Crime Directorate), Darko Ćulum (Director of Police of RS), Željko Karan (pathologist and Head of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of RS), Želimir Lepir (Chief Prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office Banja Luka), Dalibor Vrećo (prosecutor).

Dragičević stated in his demand that he is seeking resignations due to, as he said, their involvement in illegal actions of preventing evidence and covering up the murder of his son David Dragičević in order to protect the institutions of RS.

- Because it is evident that Lukač and others no longer enjoy the support of their colleagues, citizens, and according to our information, a good portion of the police force is against them. In the interest of the citizens, I will insist that all the aforementioned individuals resign because they did this intentionally to steal time and help the murderers. I demand resignations for moral reasons, and their criminal responsibility will be determined by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

A demand was also made for the arrest by 30.12. until 18:00, before the start of the Justice for David rally, of: Filip Ćulum, Đorđe Rađen, Zoran Bošnjak, Mikica Marjanac, Siniša Kojdić, Inspector Bojan Karanović.

- Also, other unnamed individuals who held the criminal press conference of the MUP RS on March 26, where they killed David Dragičević for the second time, should be placed under surveillance measures. The deadline for fulfilling these demands is December 30, Sunday, by 18:00. If these demands are not met, we will not leave David Dragičević Square, and for everything else that happens after that moment, Milorad Dodik, Željka Cvijanović, all members of the MUP RS, and the Public Prosecutor's Office of RS will bear exclusive responsibility.

By the very act of my arrest, the mother Suzana's, and close people around us, on December 25, and the circumstances that led to that act, it is clear to me, and to all the people who have stood behind me and my murdered son David Dragičević, what their intentions are. I say clearly and loudly that I will not allow or permit it. They killed my child, and I will stand in front of the people who support me, and if necessary in this fight, I will be the first to give my life for David Dragičević Đakac and for the people who stand behind me and my son.

We have shown peace and dignity to everyone for over 10 months, and the only response we received from these institutions, i.e., a concrete answer, was on December 25, when they tried to kill us and destroy us in an illegitimate and illegal manner. The whole world saw the excessive use of force against unarmed people, women, children, and innocent citizens of this country.

In addition to the images that went around the world, police brutality reached its peak inside the police station, away from public view, where people were subjected to physical and psychological abuse, which the Minister of Police denies.

By the very act of the MUP RS and the Public Prosecutor's Office of RS, I will not allow myself to be killed and liquidated, just like my late son David Dragičević, and the only thing left for me and the people around me is to go all the way in this fight. There is no forgiveness or forgetting. Fully aware of the fact and responsibility towards the people who have stood by me, I call on the international community and all their representatives in BiH to react urgently within their jurisdiction so that I can get justice, and the people who have been following me can welcome the upcoming holidays in their homes and not on the street - stated Davor Dragičević in his demands.
