Darko Elez revealed where the contract killer who disappeared in 2007 is buried

The mortal remains of the murdered Slaviša Bilinac, known as Bili, are most likely buried near the bobsled track on Trebević, Darko Elez, a criminal from Istočno Sarajevo who reached an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office this week in the "Lutka" case, revealed to the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

According to the information from Istraga, orders for exhumation should be issued in the coming days, provided that the information given to the investigators by Darko Elez proves to be accurate.

Slaviša Bilinac Bili, a criminal from Sokolac, disappeared in 2007. In an interview for Federal Television's 60 Minutes, given 14 years ago, Darko Elez claimed that Bilinac was murdered and buried on Trebević. However, he did not reveal the exact location. Nevertheless, after reaching an agreement with the BiH Prosecutor's Office this week, Elez revealed the exact location where, according to his information, Slaviša Bilinac was liquidated and then buried.

"Next week, an order will be requested from the BiH Court for exhumation, after which it will be known whether the information provided by Darko Elez is accurate," an Istraga source from the BiH Prosecutor's Office stated.

Slaviša Bilinac Bili was known as a contract killer. He informed Đorđe Ždrale that Darko Elez was planning his liquidation.

"He (Bilinac) came to me and turned on the speakerphone and called Elez, asking him to clarify the previous conversation. Then he told him that the green light had been given and that I had to be liquidated as soon as possible. I was very surprised because there was no reason for such a thing, and Elez, in the meantime, left for Serbia with his entire family from Lukavica and I haven't seen him since," Đorđe Ždrale testified before the BiH Court in 2014.

According to Serbian media reports, Slaviša Bilinac participated in the liquidation of the president of the Football Club Bežanija, Goran Mijatović Mita, in 2006. He was murdered in October 2006 in the parking lot in front of the building where he lived in Belgrade. A car with explosives was parked next to his car. When Mijatović got into his vehicle, the car parked next to it exploded. The Serbian police suspected Bilinac of this liquidation. However, he mysteriously disappeared a year later, just a few days after the funeral of Boris Govedarica, a criminal from Istočno Sarajevo who was murdered in an ambush in Istočna Ilidža on August 24, 2007.

In an interview for Nezavisne novine in August 2007, Đorđe Ždrale spoke about the murders of Mladen Ćeha and Marijana Kovačević, criminals from Sokolac who were liquidated on July 18, 2007, on the regional road Jahorina – Pale. Đorđe Ždrale was linked to these murders.

"Yesterday, Slaviša Bilinac Bili, a good friend of Ćeha, was with me, and he told me that Zoran Mandić, the head of the Public Security Center Istočno Sarajevo, told him that I and my friends had killed Ćeha," Ždrale said in a conversation with Nezavisne novine on August 3, 2007.

About twenty days later, Boris Govedarica, a member of Đorđe Ždrale's criminal group, was murdered. After his funeral, Slaviša Bilinac Bili disappeared. Darko Elez then stated that Bilinac had been murdered, but his mortal remains were never found. After reaching an agreement with the BiH Prosecutor's Office this week, Elez revealed to investigators that Bilinac was murdered and buried near the bobsled track on Trebević.
