Dario Čukić pleads guilty to counterfeiting euros, dollars, and KM, sentence of one and a half years in prison proposed

(Patria) - The accused Čukić Dario, aka “Čuka”, from Gradačac, born in 1994 in Tuzla, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the presence of his lawyer, fully admitted guilt to the indictment for the criminal offense of counterfeiting money.

In accordance with the plea agreement, a prison sentence of one and a half years has been proposed for the accused, as well as the confiscation of several dozen counterfeit banknotes of the Euro, USD, and KM currencies, in various denominations.

The accused is charged with attempting to introduce counterfeit banknotes into the payment circulation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the area of Tuzla Canton after coming into possession of them, which he failed to do as he was discovered by police officers and the counterfeit money was confiscated.

The proposed sentence is in line with the accused's role and responsibility, as well as the scope of the criminal offense he is charged with.

By admitting guilt, the accused waived his right to a trial and his right to appeal the verdict that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will pronounce based on the agreement.

If the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepts the agreement, the case will be fully concluded.
