More details will be known today about the shooting that occurred last night around 8:30 PM in the parking lot on Butmirska cesta street near the Sarajevo Thermal Riviera. Police spotted three individuals attempting to steal a car. During the arrest, a shooting broke out, reports the Patria news agency.
In the exchange of fire, police wounded two robbers who had first opened fire on them. The injured received medical assistance at the scene and were then transported to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo. A third robber was also arrested.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, led by the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo.
The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with other police and security agencies under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is conducting intensive activities to prevent criminal acts of grand theft of motor vehicles.
