Russian opposition figure Boris Nemtsov, who was killed by an as-yet-unknown attacker in central Moscow on Friday, will be buried today at the Troekurovskoye Cemetery, reports the Patria news agency.
Since this morning, hundreds of people have been waiting in line to pay their last respects to Nemtsov. His body lies in an open coffin at the Sakharov Center in Moscow.
His family, friends, and associates stand beside the coffin, and people are constantly arriving at the Sakharov Center, laying flowers and lighting candles. Black-and-white photographs of Boris Nemtsov are on the walls of the museum.
Not far from the site of the commemoration, there are several ambulances.
The last respects to the slain opposition figure were also paid by Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia Sergei Prikhodko and Arkady Dvorkovich, who placed a bouquet of red flowers on the coffin, as well as Russian Prime Minister's spokeswoman Natalya Timakova.
The main witness to the murder, Ukrainian model Anna Duritskaya, left Russia the day before the funeral.
