The first-instance verdict for Goran Sarić for genocide in Srebrenica will be delivered at the Court of BiH today.
The indictment states, among other things, that the accused Sarić, in his capacity as commander of the Special Brigade of the RS MUP police, along with other army and police units, knowing the intent of the main perpetrators, knowingly assisted members of the joint criminal enterprise in committing genocide in Srebrenica.
This resulted in 40,000 forcibly displaced residents - Bosniaks and more than 8,000 Bosniak boys and men executed summarily, thereby partially exterminating the Bosniak population from the Srebrenica enclave.
