Decision on custody for five arrested in operation Bosna today

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office has submitted a proposal to the Municipal Court of Sarajevo requesting a one-month custody for all five individuals arrested in the operation codenamed "Bosna" which was carried out on Friday, August 26. The operation involved members of the Federal Police Administration with the assistance of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. The decision on custody will be known by 6:00 PM, given that the 24-hour period since they were handed over to the court's jurisdiction expires then, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Those arrested in the operation include the Executive Director for Distribution of Elektroprivreda BiH Esed Džananović, the chief technician of the ENT department at UKCS Safet Bibić, Nedžad Trako and his father Senad Trako, BPS representative Sefer Halilović in the assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton and a butcher from Visoko, as well as Ramiz Karavdić.

The arrested individuals are suspected of committing criminal offenses of association for the purpose of committing criminal acts, receiving gifts or other forms of benefit, and receiving rewards or other forms of benefit for influence peddling.

They are suspected of organizing a group and, using their influence, employing individuals in public companies, healthcare and higher education institutions in the Federation of BiH by demanding and receiving money or other forms of benefit.

During the searches, money in various currencies, index books, diplomas, and notes were found.
