26 years ago today, one of the biggest mining accidents in the country's history occurred in BiH, in which as many as 180 miners lost their lives. In the Dobrinja jug mine, in the village of Mramor near Tuzla, a terrible explosion occurred a few hours after midnight, the cause of which has not yet been fully resolved.
All those who went down into the pit that night died, except for Smail Imamović, who suffered severe injuries but survived.
In memory of this mining and human tragedy, homage is paid to the fallen miners every year at the Kreka Mines, writes Patria.
