Day of mourning in FBiH: Funeral prayers held for three fallen miners

In Kakanj, funeral prayers were held for three fallen miners from RMU Kakanj: Muhamed Sarač (47), Nermin Mušija (38), and Sejad Gađun (44), while the funeral for the fourth victim, Mijo Stojčić (39), will be held on Friday, reports the BiH news agency Patria. The burial will take place in local cemeteries in the places where they lived.

The fallen miners are survived by five young children.

The funeral prayers were led by Nusret ef. Abdibegović, director of the Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Islamic Community in BiH. Several thousand people, fellow miners, and family members attended the funeral.

Before the funeral prayers, a memorial service was held in the packed House of Culture for the four miners who lost their lives on Tuesday evening while honorably performing their duties.
