AF BiH Day Marked at NATO Headquarters in Brussels

(Patria) - December 1st - Armed Forces of BiH Day and the 14th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of BiH were marked at military diplomatic missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina around the world.

Military attachés in countries where Bosnia and Herzegovina has military representatives marked this significant day with formal receptions and similar gatherings attended by high-ranking military officials and military attachés from foreign countries.

One such gathering was held at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The formal reception, organized by the Military Part of the BiH Mission to NATO on November 26, 2019, was attended by the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, Lieutenant General Senad Mašović. On that occasion, General Mašović addressed the guests with a fitting speech, emphasizing that the members of the AF BiH will continue to perform their tasks with professionalism and perseverance, in order to fulfill the strategic goals of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among other things, he highlighted the importance of marking this date, as it was the day an institution was created whose activities are in the interest of all BiH citizens, throughout the territory of BiH, as well as outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of building and contributing to peace and security in the world.

The host of the reception, the Head of the Military Part of the BiH Mission to NATO and also the BiH Military Representative to the EU, Brigadier Jasmin Čajić, in his address to the attendees, highlighted the efforts and progress of the Armed Forces of BiH in terms of interoperability, operational capabilities, and participation in peacekeeping missions, which are recognized and valued by friendly and partner countries around the world, expressing wishes for the continuation of reforms in the defense sector in the coming period.

Numerous NATO officials, ambassadors and military representatives from member states and partner delegations to NATO, as well as other officials of international military personnel at NATO and the EU, attended the reception.
