(1986) from Velika Kladuša after being extradited from Turkey, reports the Patria news agency.
The person with initials M.K. was deprived of liberty due to reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense under Article 202d paragraph (2) related to membership in a terrorist group, in conjunction with Article 201 of the Criminal Code of BiH „Terrorism“ and the criminal offense under Article 162b of the Criminal Code of BiH paragraph (2) „Illegal formation and joining of foreign paramilitary or parapolice formations“. The said person is suspected of having stayed on the Syrian battlefield from November 2014 to June 2015, where she participated in armed conflicts on the side of ISIL.
During work on this case, very good police cooperation was achieved at the national and international level, which resulted in the extradition of the said person from Turkey after she had spent a certain period of time in custody there, SIPA stated.
The person deprived of liberty was brought to the official premises of SIPA, where she is being criminally processed, after which, in accordance with the instructions of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, a decision will be made on her further status.
