Is Washington planning to conduct nuclear tests?

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump refused to say whether Washington will conduct explosive nuclear tests based on his decision, TASS reported.

"You will find out soon," Trump told reporters on Air Force One, according to Reuters.

"Other countries are doing it. If they do it, we will do it too," he added.
Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, earlier said that Trump's remark about instructing the Pentagon to begin testing nuclear weapons requires clarification.

Ulyanov pointed out that other countries "are not conducting explosive nuclear tests, which are banned by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty".

According to him, Russia recently tested nuclear weapons delivery systems, but not nuclear explosive devices.
