Will Sarajlić be removed from his position as head of the SDA Club in the PS BiH House of Representatives due to the attack on Ahmetović?

The session of the SDA Presidency will be held on Wednesday, October 7, and the first item on the agenda will be the removal of Asim Sarajlić, head of the SDA Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

We recall that Sarajlić's removal was requested by four SDA representatives: Šemsudin Mehmedović, Salko Sokolović, Senad Šepić, and Sadik Ahmetović, after a physical attack by Sarajlić on Ahmetović occurred in the SDA Club premises during a break in the session on June 30.

Incidentally, the four representatives had expressed dissatisfaction with the atmosphere in the SDA and the selection of certain cadres in the party structures since the Congress held on May 26 this year, and this incident was merely the last straw, prompting them to request the removal of Asim Sarajlić from SDA President Bakir Izetbegović.

Sarajlić is also the Vice President of the SDA and Chairman of the Personnel Commission, and as Izetbegović stated after a meeting with the four representatives held on September 22, 2015, the party bodies will issue a statement regarding Sarajlić and his actions.

- We will discuss this at the session of the party Presidency, and it is one of the first items. Asim Sarajlić said he did not intend to attack Sadik Ahmetović, but we will certainly discuss it, and the party bodies will make the final decision. So I would not speak hastily about possible sanctions or what the party bodies will decide - Izetbegović said at the time.

After the session of the Presidency, a press conference will be held starting at 7:00 PM.
