'Srebrenica Flowers' at one of the busiest locations in Manchester, USA

(Patria) - In the American city of Manchester, at one of the busiest locations on Elm Street, a mural titled "Srebrenica Flower" has been painted.

On the wall, one can see several flowers that are a symbol of the genocide in Srebrenica, created out of the need to inform people in the USA and to remind them of what happened in Srebrenica on July 11, 1995.

Additionally, the mural was created out of the need to raise national awareness among citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina living in the diaspora and to contribute to the endurance of exile.

This is not the first time this city has paid tribute to Srebrenica. Namely, Bosnians and Herzegovinians gathered around the Bosniak Association of New Hampshire in the USA, together with their friends, held a large march where they created a Srebrenica Flower with a diameter of 65 meters from 8,372 flags.

The mural was done by 30-year-old Amar Mehmedović from Lukavac, who has been living and working in that city with his family for years.

The "Srebrenica Flower" is a symbol of compassion, warning, and a vow that Srebrenica will never happen to anyone again.
