Ćudić: If the House of Peoples law had been adopted, HNS leaders would have been prosecuted for supporting war criminals

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Our Party reminds that back in 2015, they submitted a Bill on prohibiting the denial, minimization, justification or approval of the Holocaust, crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity in the House of Peoples of the Federation.

“The purpose of this law is to prosecute those who deny legally proven and adjudicated most horrific crimes in modern history, because we believe that denying these crimes or minimizing them is the first step towards repeating them” – says Our Party.

The fate of this Bill was that it was adopted in the House of Representatives, but it was never considered in the House of Peoples of the FBiH.

Sabina Ćudić, head of the Our Party Caucus in the Federal Parliament, says: “I remind you, the Speaker of the House of Peoples was Lidija Bradara from HDZ, a party that yesterday openly supported convicted war criminals of the abolished criminal entity of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosnia.

- Mrs. Bradara, as Speaker, was the only one authorized to put this Bill on the agenda and she never did. Of course, we will continue to insist on the adoption of this Law, but its blockade by HDZ should not be surprising why the same party yesterday, hiding behind the name of the Croatian people, supported war criminals. If this Law had been adopted, yesterday's decision-makers would have been prosecuted – said Ćudić.
