GLIMPSES FROM THE EAST Border of BiH guarded by puppeteers, textile workers, and criminals

Is the management of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina blind, or do they only care about accommodating the cronies of powerful people. This is how a new letter from border police officers begins. 

“The career of the commander of the Višegrad unit, Dragan Nikolić, who completed higher education, experienced a sudden rise in 2014. When taking the test, Nikolić achieved the maximum number of points, leaving behind law graduates, economists, criminalists, and was even better than Pero Milivojević, the current acting head of the Operations Directorate. Such a result has never been achieved by anyone, and it is quite clear that Nikolić received the test before taking it,” the border guards state. 

They even wonder why Nikolić wasn't careful enough not to “miss” a question.

“Dragan Kunić enabled this through his people in the Test Commission. Nikolić tried for a long time to ‘get’ his son into the Border Police, but it wasn't possible until Dragan Kunić took over as Assistant Director from Slobodan Krstić. Kunić’s leadership skills are zero, and the only thing keeping him is his acquaintance with ‘important’ people,” write the guards of the eastern border. 

They add that the Support Unit is led by commander Nedim Kunovac, who graduated from a higher puppetry school. 

“For his diploma, he worked on Little Red Riding Hood. Kunovac tried many times to reach the rank of senior inspector, but knowledge was not his strong suit as he could not pass the test. However, after Fahrudin Halač joined the BiH Border Police, this changed. Halač promoted Kunovac before the law changed, which halted promotions to higher ranks with only higher education. Of course, Kunovac passed the test, just like most others who get promoted,” the border guards state. 

According to them, the commander of the Zvornik Unit, Muamer Fazlagić, a senior inspector, is one of the border guards reported to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for the disappearance of a large quantity of ammunition and equipment from the main office. 

“Because of this, he was under scrutiny by management and was constantly reassigned. For this reason, he was on sick leave for a year because he disagreed with the transfers. Now he is in the director's favor, so he chose a team to help him. Among them is a police officer who has a criminal complaint for violence and is the son-in-law of the former head of administration. And now you have a textile worker, a puppeteer, and a criminal leading units that are supposed to stop the main wave of migration. When you add who their boss is, and you wrote about him last time, then it is clear to everyone what awaits us. These claims are easy to verify, best regards from the east,” the disappointed police officers stated in a letter delivered to the Patria agency. 

So, the letters continue to arrive, writes Patria, and some other media outlets are reporting, but the director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galić, and his deputy, Fahrudin Halač, do not care much about the eastern border or the police they lead. 

It is obvious that Galić and Halač, as well as their subordinates, have more pressing matters in the fight for power and dominance within the Border Police, as well as in all other tricks and illegal activities.

If it were otherwise, the most capable members of the Border Police would be directed to the eastern border, because according to all forecasts, thousands of migrants will soon arrive at that BiH border. 

Puppeteers and textile workers certainly cannot stop them, so the question arises whether anyone in the Border Police aims to stop migrants and refugees?
