(Patria) - The Iranian Red Crescent Society has warned Tehran residents not to leave their homes due to black rain falling after attacks on oil facilities, which they state is dangerous.
The Iranian Red Crescent has warned civilians that the rain could become toxic. The agency stated that contaminated rain can cause chemical burns to the skin and lung damage.
In a statement released on Telegram, the Red Crescent urged people not to go outside during the rain following the explosions and to seek shelter under concrete or metal roofs if caught outdoors.
It also advised anyone exposed to the rain to rinse their skin with running cold water and to immediately change out of any soaked clothing.
Iranian state media reported this morning that the United States (US) and Israel attacked five oil facilities in and near Tehran last night, and that four people were killed in the attacks.
Nearly 10 million residents of Tehran woke up this morning in a city covered by thick black clouds after the attacks.
