Black Thursday: Two consecutive accidents on the Blažuj expressway, one driver was drunk

Two traffic accidents occurred on the Blažuj expressway on Thursday, in which two people sustained minor injuries, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The first accident happened around 3 p.m., and an ambulance transported the injured M.A. (21) to the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (UKCS). Traffic was halted, and at the moment when the police signaled the vehicle column to proceed, a second collision occurred.

Namely, when a Škoda Fabia attempted to move, it was hit from behind by a Golf vehicle. Due to the force of the impact, the Škoda was thrown toward the embankment, but fortunately, the driver N.Č. was not injured. He was taken by ambulance to UKCS and fitted with a neck brace as a precautionary measure.

The Golf driver had a blood alcohol level of 1.8 per mille, and officers of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton conducted an investigation.
