Crnadak met with the Ambassador of Israel: The situation with the RS representation in Israel is very unpleasant

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of Israel to Bosnia and Herzegovina Boaz Rodkin.

During the meeting, Minister Crnadak said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to further improving and strengthening relations with Israel, which was particularly confirmed by the recent visit of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić to Jerusalem, as well as visits at the ministerial level. The Minister informed the Ambassador that the situation with the representation of the BiH entity Republika Srpska in Israel is very unpleasant, but expressed hope that it will not affect Israel's relations with BiH.

Minister Crnadak informed the highest officials of the Republika Srpska entity about the seriousness of the Israeli Government's positions on this issue, and expressed hope that, in addition to the institutions at the BiH level, the institutions of Republika Srpska will also do everything necessary within their jurisdiction to overcome the existing problems.

During the meeting, Minister Crnadak particularly emphasized that the issue of respecting the victims of the Holocaust is of enormous importance to BiH, and that a high-level BiH delegation, led by the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, recently visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem to pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust.

Minister Crnadak will participate in the work of a major conference dedicated to the topic of the Holocaust in Brussels on April 26, where he will address the opening of the conference, along with the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani and the Ambassador of Israel to the EU Roni Leshno-Yaar, which he also informed Ambassador Rodkin about.

The Minister and the Ambassador jointly stated that activities will continue in the coming period to develop bilateral relations between BiH and Israel in numerous areas.
