Crnadak responds to Cvijanović's accusations: In October there are elections, not a life-and-death struggle

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Igor Crnadak, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, after the return of the delegation of the Council of Ministers of BiH from Qatar, reacted to the statements of RS Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović, as well as to the conclusions of the Commission on the foreign policy status of BiH.

Crnadak called on Cvijanović to show responsibility towards the public and the way political struggle is conducted.

- I call on her to stop the aggression, the anger, the hatred, and the insults we hear in her appearances. What is happening in October is just another election, not a life-and-death struggle. As for some things she said, she chose to deal with the Embassy in Canada - said Crnadak.

He explained that an internal audit of the Ministry recently received a complaint against an advisor in the cabinet of Željka Cvijanović, who until recently was the ambassador to Canada and continued to use the official email of the Embassy, and that complaint is in procedure.

Crnadak emphasized that the Presidency of BiH is responsible for appointing ambassadors, and he does not understand Cvijanović's accusations that he influences the selection of ambassadors.

He announced that, if this topic continues, "I have a fairly substantial list of people from SNSD, if we are going to talk about nepotism in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

- As for the claim that the Ministry works against the interests of Republika Srpska, there will be a special conference on that in Banja Luka. The number of Serbs, that is, the percentage that belongs to them, was drastically smaller when I came to that Ministry, a smaller number of heads, a smaller number in diplomatic and consular posts, and a smaller number of promotions - said Crnadak.

He announced the holding of an international conference in Banja Luka on February 23, which is the third event in 2.5 years of government, and said that during SNSD's rule, there was not a single one in eight full years.

Crnadak did not want to discuss the conclusions of the Commission in detail, except that next week the Ministry will send its official comment.
