Black statistics are growing: 51 people died in traffic accidents in RS this year

In the Republika Srpska, 51 people have died in traffic accidents this year, 192 have sustained serious bodily injuries, and 871 have sustained minor bodily injuries, according to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS.

In as many as 709 cases, the cause of traffic accidents was inappropriate vehicle speed.

In the first four months of this year, police officers removed 5,670 drivers from traffic for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Due to the increased number of fatalities in traffic accidents, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RS will organize an operation from May 26 to 29 to enhance control of traffic participants, with an emphasis on controlling vehicle speed and determining driver intoxication, writes NAP.
