Čović blocks government work over five companies: HDZ leader also wants the Development Bank!

It is now more than certain that the FBiH Government is not functioning as envisioned based on the platform of coalition partners SDA, HDZBiH and DF, writes the Patria news agency.

The biggest optimists say that the federal government, i.e. the coalition, could collapse as early as September, and although HDZ ministers label the controversial Decree on appointments to public enterprises as the main problem, the background is completely different.

It is increasingly being said that Dragan Čović, the leader of the HDZ, only cares about taking over five public enterprises: HT Eronet, Hrvatske pošte Mostar, Elektroprivreda HZHB Mostar, Aluminij, and the Development Bank of FBiH, after which he would no longer be interested in anything.

Namely, as our source reveals, Čović would like to see Ramiz Džaferović again at the helm of the Development Bank of FBiH, even though SDA cadre Salko Selman recently took this position. Čović will not give up until he completely brings these companies under his control, which the DF strongly opposes.

It is also certain that the leader of the Democratic Front, Željko Komšić, will not back down from his demands, which he clearly stated from the beginning of the negotiations for the formation of the government.

- Perhaps the SDA and HDZ thought that Komšić would back down from his positions, but knowing him, I can say that he will certainly not do that - says our source from the FBiH Government.

And the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, also warns of a crisis in the government of this BiH entity, given that two sessions of the federal government have already been held without the presence of ministers from the HDZ BiH, one of the coalition partners.

This happened after a change to the agenda, agreed upon the previous day at the Collegium, when the item that was supposed to discuss the Aluminij Combine from Mostar was withdrawn - Novalić previously stated.
