Covic tricked Izetbegovic, Izetbegovic his voters

Is Bakir Izetbegovic, whose party is the election winner, capable of forming a government and does he have the statesmanship and negotiating capacity to do so? Who is in coalition, agreement, partnership with whom? SDA and HDZBiH? SDA and DF? Or SDA-DF-HDZBIH?

Nobody understands anything anymore. Except for one man - Dragan Covic.

Cunningly and extremely shrewdly, Covic has made all the moves so far. He has thoroughly fooled the election winner, Izetbegovic.

The collateral damage is the Democratic Front and Zeljko Komsic, who are sticking to agreements and principles.

With his incompetence, Izetbegovic has bowed to all of Covic's demands that he delivered. To the detriment of SDA, and to the detriment of DF, which he dragged into this coalition deception under the pretext that he needed a partner for governance, to strengthen the state.

Covic tricked Izetbegovic, and Izetbegovic his voters. More than 300,000 of them. Who expected much more from the man they voted for to be "the first among Bosniaks".

Unfortunately for the voters, and to the great misfortune of the other citizens of this country, the SDA's deputy leader has now confirmed that he deserved none of that trust.

He allowed the HDZ leader to use him.

If it were otherwise, Izetbegovic would never have agreed to sit down with him alone, without Komsic attending every conversation, who, to be fair, did not need this political adventure at all.

He could have easily left DF in opposition and waited to see what the election winner would do. Driven solely by the desire to help form a government, so that things could finally move forward, Komsic fell into the trap that Covic had prepared for Izetbegovic, and Izetbegovic, along with the DF leader, dragged him into it with him.  

From circles close to HDZ, although unconfirmed, there are reports that Covic has recently, using the artificial crisis he himself created, often flown to Brussels, but also met with foreign diplomats in BiH, where he is lobbying for his third entity.

It would not harm Izetbegovic, if he lacks sufficient leadership abilities and wisdom, to at least be as honest as Komsic is, even though he sounds populist to many.

So that the SDA's deputy leader finally tells his voters what he agreed with Covic - whether it is only SDA and HDZBIH in coalition, and DF incidentally attached so that he has someone to share responsibility with when things get even worse, which is very likely.

Even if the Federation of BiH Government is formed, the outlook is not good. Izetbegovic has shown so far that he is not capable of making wise state and political decisions.

And finally, in this coalition triangle, no one is honest with anyone. Covic towards Izetbegovic and Komsic, Izetbegovic towards the two of them, while Komsic is slowly beginning to realize that he might pay too high a price and find himself in a situation where, even as the SDA's deputy leader, he has let down his voters.

However, Covic must be congratulated on one thing. In his strong desire to get a third entity and dismantle this country, he has succeeded in something that everyone considered a long-term prospect. Uniting the left, DF and SDP, and strengthening the civic option in BiH. Sometimes, even the one who schemes against others gets caught in his own traps. Covic did trick Izetbegovic, Izetbegovic his voters, but now it is the left that has been given a chance, because it has been shown that the ethnic principle of organizing and leading government is an extremely bad and disastrous model for the future of the state of BiH.
