President of HDZ BiH and Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Dragan Čović visited the crisis headquarters of civil protection of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton in Mostar today.

The Prime Minister and head of the crisis headquarters of civil protection of HNŽ, Dr. Nevenko Herceg, presented the measures and activities undertaken in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the entire HNK, noting that this canton is the most affected area in FBiH epidemiologically.

From the beginning of this horror, everyone said that the situation should not be politicized, but then it is unclear why a state delegate and the president of a party is meeting with the crisis headquarters of a canton? We understand why this particular canton was chosen.

Interestingly, Čović went to HNK and exchanged views on vital issues and assistance from higher levels of government that directly concern the canton, especially the Government of the Federation of BiH.
We will remind Čović that he participates in the Government of FBiH, and that Jelka Milićević, the Minister of Finance, is precisely from his party.

Čović complained that the transfer from the federal budget was illegally repurposed by the Government of the Federation of BiH, and that this must change.

Čović emphasized that in the fight against the epidemic, work must be done on devising intensive measures to help the economy.

Meanwhile, he did not think to submit a request to reduce the salaries and fees of delegates and representatives in the BiH Parliament, following the example of the Parliament of the Federation. This is his actual jurisdiction, not meeting with crisis headquarters at a time when they have no time for anything else, let alone politically playing games.
