Coulibaly: They are trying to convince you that Muslims are terrorists

A French television station broadcast a recording of the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly's conversation with hostages during yesterday's siege. During several minutes of recorded conversation, Coulibaly stated that his motivation for the attack was French actions in Syria and Mali, reports the Patria News Agency.

'I will tell them to stop attacking the Islamic State and to stop imprisoning our brothers,' he said, reports Mirror.

'They are trying to convince you that Muslims are terrorists. I was born in France. If they hadn't been attacked elsewhere, I wouldn't be here,' he told the hostages. He also aligned himself with Osama bin Laden. He stated that the murdered terrorist was his inspiration.

Let's recall that Coulibaly was killed on Friday when police stormed a kosher supermarket in Paris where he was holding hostages. Four other people died during the attack, but according to police claims, they were killed when the attacker entered the store, not when the police attempted to rescue them.
