Cormack at SIPA: Successful cooperation and partnership in the fight against terrorism

US Ambassador to BiH Maureen E. Cormack visited the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and met with SIPA Director Perica Stanić.

The meeting discussed SIPA's work and current security challenges in BiH and the world, as well as modalities for effectively countering these challenges, with an emphasis on the fight against terrorism as a global threat. The successful cooperation and partnership to date in the fight against terrorism, as well as various forms of organized crime, were particularly highlighted.

Modalities for future cooperation were discussed through timely exchange of security-relevant findings and information, as well as organizing various forms of training and education to strengthen SIPA's investigative capacities.

The Director of SIPA thanked for the support provided by the US Government to SIPA in the past period through organizing specialized training for SIPA investigators, donating modern equipment, and in other ways, which has reflected on the overall quality of SIPA's work.

Ambassador Cormack said that the US Government remains available to SIPA for any form of assistance in the future, in order to more effectively counter all current security challenges.
