'Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership in NATO is the will of the citizens, which the rulers must not betray'

(Patria) - Sejfudin Tokić, president of the Bosniak Movement, regarding the multi-month hesitation of the BiH authorities to activate the MAP plan and further inclusion in NATO membership, stated that "Bosnia and Herzegovina's inclusion in Euro-Atlantic integrations represents a clearly defined obligation of all authorities, defined by the Law on the Armed Forces of BiH and the foreign policy strategy".

"NATO membership represents the will and desire of over 75% of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and none of the elected representatives of the authorities have the right to act contrary to the will of the citizens and the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dodik's oligarchy, fanatically pursuing the policy of the greatest war criminals after Hitler in Europe, Karadžić and Mladić, and supported by the destructive policy of the Russian Federation towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, cannot and will not prevent BiH's full membership in NATO, which guarantees peace and stability to all citizens and peoples. Membership in NATO will open up great opportunities for significant foreign investment in the development of our country's economy and the creation of new jobs.

The plebiscitary commitment of the vast majority of citizens for lasting peace and security guaranteed by NATO membership can always be verified and confirmed by a referendum of all citizens of BiH throughout the entire territory. The calculations of the HDZ, or rather Čović's oligarchy, regarding this issue clearly stem from their realization that BiH's entry into NATO would historically prevent the Serb-Croat division of BiH and the implementation of the Cvetković-Maček agreement of 1939 or Tuđman-Milošević of 1991.

The Bosniak Movement warns all elected members of the Presidency and Parliament of BiH that they do not have the right, due to their subservient mentality or the interests of other countries and centers of political power, to miss the historic opportunity for Bosnia and Herzegovina to activate the MAP and for our homeland to join the full membership of this strongest political and military alliance in the world," Tokić stated.
